Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 6, 2026
Ad Block Safe is a browser extension that blocks advertisements, pop-ups, and trackers, and checks the sites you visit against a list of known unsafe domains. This policy explains what information the extension handles and what it does not.
What we do not collect
- We do not collect or store your browsing history.
- We do not log the pages you visit, the searches you make, or the links you click.
- We do not require an account, email address, or any personal information.
- We do not sell, rent, or share data with advertisers or data brokers.
How blocking works
Filtering happens locally in your browser. The extension downloads filter lists and the unsafe-domain list from our update servers on a regular schedule. These update requests are ordinary HTTPS downloads and do not include your browsing activity.
Technical data
When the extension fetches filter list updates, our servers receive the standard technical information included in any web request (such as IP address and extension version). This is used only to serve the update and for basic operational integrity. It is not used to build profiles and is not linked to your browsing.
Permissions
The extension requests permission to read and modify the pages you visit. This permission is required for any ad blocker to function: the extension must see a page to find ad elements and modify it to remove them. This processing happens entirely on your device.
Your choices
- You can pause blocking on any site from the extension icon.
- You can uninstall the extension at any time from your browser's extensions page; all local data is removed with it.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new "last updated" date.
