The problem, measured

The junk isn't in your head.

Independent measurement projects have been counting what rides along with the pages you read. The numbers are public.

~5trackers on an average website, measured across millions of page loads by WhoTracks.me
69%of web traffic includes a Google tracker — the single most common third party on the web
#1most common way malware reaches browsers is malicious advertising and deceptive download buttons

Sources: WhoTracks.me tracker census (Ghostery/Cliqz, ongoing); malvertising ranking per recurring findings in browser-security industry reports. We cite others' measurements — we don't collect our own.

How it works

Install. Browse. It's just… quiet.

No settings to learn, no lists to manage. Three things happen, in order.

1The junk gets filtered out

Banner ads, autoplay video ads, pop-ups, newsletter overlays, and cookie-wall theater are removed before the page finishes loading. Third-party trackers are blocked at the network level, so they never run at all.

2Unsafe pages get stopped

This is the part most ad blockers skip. Every domain you visit is checked — locally, in your browser — against a regularly updated list of sites linked to phishing and malicious ads. Match found? The page is held, you get a plain explanation, and the choice stays yours.

3You stay in charge

Want to support a site you like? One click pauses blocking there, and your choice is remembered. The counter in the toolbar shows exactly what was filtered on every page — no black box.

An honest comparison

Where Ad Block Safe fits.

The other extensions in this table are good software — that's why they're here. The difference is the combination: blocking plus a safety layer, free, with nothing to configure.

Privacy

Your browsing is not our business.

A tool that blocks trackers has no business tracking you. Here is exactly where we stand.

No browsing logs

We do not record the pages you visit, the searches you make, or the links you click. Filtering happens on your device.

No account, no email

Nothing to sign up for. The extension works entirely without knowing who you are.

No data sales

We have nothing to sell because we collect nothing worth selling. The policy is short enough to actually read.

Questions

Fair questions, plain answers.

The things people usually want to know before installing.

Is Ad Block Safe free?
Yes. The extension is free to install and use. There is no premium tier and no feature locked behind a payment.
Why does it need permission to read websites I visit?
To remove ads from a page, an ad blocker has to be able to see the page and change it. This is the same permission every ad blocker requires. We use it to filter ads and check domains against the unsafe list — nothing else.
Will it slow down my browser?
No — usually the opposite. Ads and trackers are extra things your browser would otherwise download and run. Removing them means less work per page, which tends to make ad-heavy sites load faster.
What does the safety check actually do?
Before a page loads, its domain is compared against a regularly updated list of domains associated with phishing and malicious advertising. If there is a match, the page is held and you see a plain-language notice with the option to continue anyway. The check happens locally in your browser.
Can I allow ads on sites I want to support?
Yes. Click the extension icon on any site and pause blocking there. Blocking stays off for that site until you turn it back on.
Which browsers are supported?
Any Chromium-based browser that installs extensions from the Chrome Web Store: Chrome, Microsoft Edge, Brave, Opera, Vivaldi, and Arc.

You just saw what it does.
Now make it permanent.

The demo above is a simulation. The real thing works on every page you open.
